What is Metal Polishing?

Metal polishing is the removal of metal by means of presenting a component onto a linishing belt, or brightening the metal by mopping or buffing after linishing.The linishing belt and mop rotates on the end of a spindle that is attached to a lathe.The belt has various grades of grit from fine to coarse dependant on how much metal needs to be removed.

Whatever process is required we can produce a high quality finish in preparation for powder coating, painting, zinc plating etc. by dressing welds and/or finishing the component all over in preparation for nickel and chrome plating on various types of metals – zinc base die castings, brass stampings or castings, aluminium, steel, and stainless steel .

Polished metal is used for many domestic, commercial and industrial items, ranging from car parts to medical instruments.
